Funeral Services for Wanda Norrod, age 72, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Tony Phipps and Rev. Richard Harris will officiate with interment to follow in the Whittaker Cemetery. Mrs. Norrod was born on Sunday, July 20, 1952, in Monterey, Tennessee, to the late John Eads Jr. and Betty Myrl Vaughn Eads. Wanda passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was owner/operator along with her husband of the Family Diner in Cookeville in the 1980’s, also Rings and Things, and a video rental store. She worked in the garment factory industry, was a CNA working at Masters Healthcare Center and at Standing Stone Healthcare and worked with Reba’s Flowers. She was a member of Columbia Hill Baptist Church. She loved her Boston Terriers, Abe and Buddy. She is survived by her husband of almost 55 years, Roger Norrod of Monterey, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Pennie Norrod of Monterey, TN; grandchildren, Jacob Norrod (Brandy Stults), Michael Norrod (Courtney Monday); great grandchild, Harley Norrod. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John Norrod. The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 12:00 PM until time of services at 2:00 PM.
