WHITE COUNTY, TN- On March 23, 2023, at approximately 10 a.m., Sgt. Dodson was on routine patrol in the Doyle area when he observed a Mitsubishi Galant with a light law violation. Sgt. Dodson conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. After approaching the vehicle, Sgt. Dodson recognized the passenger to be a subject who had felony warrants out of Tennessee and Federal Warrants out of Virginia for the United States Marshall Service. After confirming his identity and running his information, it was discovered he also had felony warrants out of South Carolina and Georgia. At that time, Sgt. Dodson placed Eddie Cornelius Simmons under arrest. After doing an incident to arrest search of Mr. Simmons person, Sgt. Dodson located a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine, 1 glass pipe with a burnt residue, and 5 hypodermic syringes.
