WATTS BAR, DALE HOLLOW AND CENTER HILL FISHING REPORT – JUNE 25, 2020

WATTS BAR

Reservoir Conditions: The lake is at normal elevation. The water temperature is 82 degrees.

Crappie: Minnows or jigs are being used to catch crappie around deep blowdowns in secondary water. Docks in the same type of area are good. Night anglers are catching fish around lights in the same area.

Bass: Smallmouth bass are being caught on rocks points. Crankbaits, plastic worms or jigs are being used most often. Largemouth bass are being caught around boat docks or sandy banks. Some open water fish are being caught on ledges. Jigs, plastic worms, and crankbaits are the most used baits.

Catfish: Drift the main lake with a variety of meaty baits. Plenty of fish are being caught in the Tennessee, Emory, and Clinch Rivers. Current will always make fishing better.

Bluegill/Shellcracker: Many fish are being caught around docks or rock bluff walls. Use crickets or worms for bait.

Striped Bass: The upper Clinch and Tennessee Rivers are good. Shad is the best bait. Swimbaits and jigs are also being used.

Walleye: Night fishing is better. Use live bait for the best action.

DALE HOLLOW

Reservoir Conditions: Fishing is good. The water temperature is 81 degrees and the lake is falling.

Smallmouth Bass: Several smallmouth are being caught at night on jigs and spinnerbaits while fishing points in 15-18 feet of water.

Largemouth Bass: Several largemouth are being caught on soft plastics while fishing grass on the main lake in 10-20 feet of water.

Walleye: Several walleye are being caught while trolling with nightcrawlers and large stick baits in 20-25 feet of water on main lake flats.

Crappie: A few crappie are being caught near grass while trolling crankbaits in 20 feet of water.

Bluegill/Shellcracker: A few pan fish are being caught on crickets and nightcrawlers on channel banks in 20 feet of water.

CENTER HILL

Reservoir Conditions: Fishing is good. The water temperature is 83 degrees and the lake is falling.

Bass: Several bass are being caught at night on channel banks on spinnerbaits and soft plastics in 10-15 feet of water.

Walleye: A few walleye are being caught on nightcrawlers while trolling gravel flats in 15-20 feet of water.

Bluegill/Shellcracker: A few pan fish are being caught on crickets and nightcrawlers on channel banks in 15 feet of water.
