A Wayne County, Kentucky woman was arrested yesterday after officers found her children unattended in a road. Deputy Cody Neal responded to a residence on Kentucky Highway 1009 where he found the children, ages 2 and 4. The report states both children had sharp knives in their possession. Witnesses told the officer the children play in or nearby the road often. Deputy Neal went to a nearby apartment and found the children’s mother, 20-year-old Haley E. Roberts of Monticello, asleep. She was arrested on 2 counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
