WERNER LADDERS RECALLED FOR FAULTY LOCKING MECHANISM

On August 14, 2025, Werner Co. announced a recall of approximately 122,250 Werner 20’ and 24’ Multi-Max Pro multi-purpose ladders due to a fall hazard caused by a locking mechanism that can jam and fail to fully lock into place.

The recalled ladders, identifiable by their silver color, blue top, and a blue label with “Werner MULTI MAX PRO” and model numbers ALMP-20IAA or ALMP-24IAA, were sold at Home Depot stores nationwide and online at HomeDepot.com from November 2021 to February 2024 for $200 to $281.

Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the ladders and contact Werner toll-free at 888-624-1907, via email at [email protected], or online at http://www.wernerco.com/recalls to register for a full refund. After registering and disposing of the ladder as instructed, consumers will receive a refund check.

The recall follows 18 reported falls, with 14 resulting in injuries such as bruising, lacerations, head injuries, and fractures to the wrist, leg, and ribs. The ladders were manufactured in China and imported by Werner Co. of Itasca, Illinois.
