WHERE TO CATCH CHRISTMAS PARADES NEAR YOU

Harriman and Kingston have both already had their Christmas parades this year, but if you’re still up for some Christmas warm and fuzzies and don’t mind the wind chill, here are some places that have yet to have their parades.

Crossville:

The parade will step off at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, from Cumberland County High School. The route will be:
• Stanley Street toward downtown;
• Turn left at Stanley Street and West Avenue;
• Proceed along West Avenue to 10th Street;
• Turn left and proceed along 10th Street to Miller Avenue;
• Turn left and proceed along Miller Avenue back to the Stanley Street intersection, where it will disband.
Christmas Under Construction is the theme of this year’s Christmas parade. Applications are now available for entries at the Crossville Parks and Recreation Office at Centennial Park at 837 Industrial Blvd. They may also be requested by email at [email protected] but must be returned in person.

Oliver Springs:

Oliver Springs’s iconic Christmas Parade will take place in down town Oliver Springs on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 6 pm.

Cookeville:

Date: Saturday, December 14
Time: 6:00 PM

Rain Date: Monday, December 16 at 6:30 PM

Join us for a magical evening as we celebrate classic holiday tales and characters at this year’s Cookeville Christmas Parade! Enjoy the enchanting sights of beloved figures like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snow Man, the Nutcracker, and jolly ol’ Saint Nick!

This family-friendly event invites the Cookeville community to come out and celebrate the winter holidays together!

Parade Route:
The parade will travel along North Washington Avenue, from East 6th Street to East Broad Street, and down East Broad Street, from the Courthouse Square to the Cookeville Depot Museum.


Monterey:

The 68th annual Monterey Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, December 7. Parade applications can be obtained at the Monterey Depot Museum. Application can also be obtained HERE. Applications must be submitted no later than Saturday, November 30. Completed applications must be dropped off at the Monterey Depot Museum or emailed to [email protected].

Parade Lineup takes place at Monterey High School beginning at 5pm. The parade starts at 6:30pm.

The parade route will begin at Monterey High School and head West on Commercial Avenue before turning left on Holly Street and ending at Volunteer Energy Cooperative on East Stratten Avenue.

Sparta:

Oak Ridge:

The Oak Ridge Chamber is proud to organize the City’s annual Christmas Parade, with the help of many City departments and volunteers. The event has grown each year, and now has more than 100 parade entries – everything from music, faith-based, youth groups, dance, animals, and business floats, many of which decorate in theme and/or to compete for one of the awards below.

The 2024 Christmas Parade’s theme is “Home for the Holidays.” Although it’s not mandatory, you may use this theme to tell the story of your old home or your new home in Oak Ridge! Best part of all, parade entry is free!

The Oak Ridge Christmas Parade is always held on the second Saturday of December, beginning at 6PM, along the Oak Ridge Turnpike. This year’s parade date is December 14, 2024.


Tellico Plains:

Join The Crew for Christmas at the Tellico Plains Christmas Parade on Dec 21st. Parade starts mid day, times, meeting place to be added soon. ALL JEEPS PARTICIPATING MUST DECORATE. Those is a daytime parade and you can throw candy!! More details coming soon.
