WILLIAM CURTIS (BOB) ADCOX, AGE 86

William Curtis (Bob) Adcox, age 86, of Kingston, passed  away December 26, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport. He was born January 21, 1934 in Roane County.  He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Kingston.  Bob retired in 1998 from the K-25 Nuclear Plant in Oak Ridge. He was an avid U.T. football fan and loved watching the Lady Vols play basketball. He was preceded in death by his wife: Vera Mae Clark Adcox; parents: Elbert Stanfield and Lyda Mae Purdy Adcox; and sister: Shirley Brandenburg. Survivors include daughters: Deborah Ann Weatherholt (Bill) of Kingsport, Kathy Mahathy (Mike) of Oak Ridge, Joey Maria Johnson (Ronnie) of Lenoir City, and Amy Sara Sparks (Robert) of Kingston; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law: Bill Brandenburg of Kingston; and a host of extended family & friends. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. eastern Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Fraker Funeral Home in Kingston. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the family will have a private chapel service at Fraker Funeral Home with interment following at Calvary-Hazelwood Cemetery. Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston is in charge of arrangements.
