WILLIAM H. HANLEY AGE 89
William H. Hanley age 89 of Dayton, formerly of Sweetwater, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019. He was born and grew up in Ten Mile, TN. Worked in Cincinnati, OH, Rockford, IL, Rockwood and Sweetwater, TN and in Seattle, WA. After retiring in Seattle, Bill and his wife Clara moved back to Sweetwater, TN. He enjoyed gardening, camping, and vacationing on the Oregon Coast and Myrtle Beach, SC. The last 5 ½ years he has been living at Veranda/Life Care of Dayton. He was in the United States Army, stationed in Japan after WWII. Active in Sweetwater’s VFW Gold Star Post 5156. He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Clara and his parents. William is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Jerry Edward and Melissa Hanley, of Palouse, WA., Jimmy Hershel and Sheila Hanley of Kingston, Johnny Lee Hanley of Port Orchard, WA., Jeff and Marty Hanley of Evensville, Six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one brother and two sisters. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 10:00 to 10:30 am in Sweetwater Memory Chapel. Graveside service to follow at 10:30 am in Sweetwater Memorial Park with Rev. Milton Knox officiating. The family would like to say a special thanks to Missy Woods and all employees at Veranda, Life Care Assisted Living in Dayton, TN., also thank you to Hearth Hospice.
