Mr. William Henry “Bill” Hester Jr. of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky, having attained the age of 82 years, 7 months, and 2 days. He was born on Friday, June 5, 1942 in Beech Grove, Indiana, the son of William H. Sr. & Margaret (Adams) Hester. William proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and worked in maintenance for Raytheon. He was preceded in death by his mother.

He is survived by his father, William H. Hester Sr., wife, Charlene (Jack) Hester, whom he wed on April 1, 2002, children, Catherine Sue (& David) Vance of Burkesville, Kentucky, step-children, Michelle Maynard of Greenfield, Indiana, Angel Vollrath of Marysville, Ohio, Scott Johnson of Green Field, Indiana, grandchildren, Brandley Vance, Nicholas Vance, and seven step-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the Memory Chapel of the Norris-New Funeral Home, with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday January 11, 2025, beginning at 6:00 P.M. until the funeral hour on Sunday Afternoon. Burial will be in the Perkins Cemetery in Cumberland County Kentucky.
