William J. Barger (Bill) born September 10, 1945 in Harriman, passed away December 28, 2020 at home at age 75.  He has lived most of his life in the Clax Gap Community. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mack Ollis Barger and Jean Hendrickson Barger; and brother: Larry Wayne Barger. He is survived by his wife: Rita Ann Barger; son: Stacy Barger (Kristie); daughter: Gina Noll (Jerry); grandchildren: Chris Barger, Alisa Gibson (Tyler), and Bryant Barger; great-grandchildren: Brody and Blakely Barger and Laken Gibson; nephews: Nicky and Jamie Barger; special aunt: Eleanor Edmonds; and family who have a special place in all our hearts. Bill was a machinist at Y-12 for 39 years.  He continued to keep up and talk with his fellow co-workers. Bill was also known for his love of hunting, horses and raising his Barger Stock Feist Squirrel Dogs. The family would like to thank the Barger dog support and friends that have been made throughout the years. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Bill Barger. Because of the current COVID-19 status, the family regrets they cannot hold a gathering for Bill. There will be a graveside service only Sunday, January 3, 2020 at Roane Memorial Gardens. Viewing at the cemetery will be at 1:30 p.m. and the service will start at 2 p.m. Social distancing and mask wearing are encouraged at the graveside.
