Heavy snow is expected across the region, with total snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches in most areas and locally higher amounts possible. In the foothills of east Tennessee, snowfall totals are expected to range between 2 and 5 inches, while mountain peaks could see nearly 1 foot of snow. Impacted areas include Monroe County, Blount County, Morgan County, Rhea County, Meigs County, Roane County, Loudon County, Bledsoe County, Anderson County, and McMinn County, all within the 3B Media News coverage area.

Hazardous conditions are expected, particularly on roads, bridges, and overpasses, which are likely to become slick and dangerous. Slippery roads could significantly impact both the Friday morning and evening commutes. Extreme caution is advised for motorists, and unnecessary travel should be avoided. If travel is necessary, ensure your vehicle is equipped with an emergency kit containing a flashlight, food, water, and warm clothing. For the latest road conditions, call 511.
