Roane County deputies responded to an address on Buck Creek Road Friday night for a woman acting out of control and possibly intoxicated. Deputies found 35-year-old Jessica Brooke Groover standing in the road, unsteady on her feet and unable to remain focused. Her eyes appeared glassy and her pupils were too dilated for the amount of available light. Deputies had to ask her several times to stay out of the roadway.

Groover admitted having drunk alcohol and smoked marijuana.

Because she was intoxicated in a public place, was causing “an unreasonable annoyance to the public” and posed a danger to herself, deputies arrested Groover for public intoxication.
