WOMAN DEAD FROM CLINTON HOUSE FIRE

BBBTV12 – At approximately 3:40 a.m. this morning, Clinton fire and police departments responded to a 911 call reporting a residential structure fire in the 1100 block of McAdoo Street.

Upon arrival, first responders found a male resident outside the home with non-life-threatening injuries. He refused medical treatment at the scene. Inside the residence, responders located an unresponsive middle-aged female victim, who was later pronounced deceased.

The Clinton Fire Department extinguished the blaze and turned the scene over to the Clinton Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit. Investigators from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Tennessee Medical Examiner’s Office also arrived to assist with the ongoing investigation.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fire and the woman’s death. Further details will be released as they become available.
