WOMAN INDICTED FOR DEATH OF THE DAUGHTER OF A KNOXVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEMBER
A Knox County grand jury indicted 25-year-old Savannah Stanley for the April 14, 2024, death of 21-year-old Kylie Roberto, daughter of Knoxville councilmember Andrew Roberto. Stanley faces charges of vehicular homicide by intoxication, vehicular homicide, and three counts of vehicular assault.
The crash occurred when Stanley, allegedly intoxicated, drove erratically on Schaeffer Road, crossing the center line and colliding head-on with another SUV.
Kylie died at the scene, two passengers were injured, and Stanley and the other driver sustained minor injuries.
Andrew Roberto commemorated his daughter on Facebook a year later, expressing his grief and love.
“I miss your smile, your laugh, the energy you brought into every room, your warm hugs, and the way you’d say “love you guys” whenever you’d say goodbye. I just miss you Kylie and I’m so proud that I got to be your Daddy for 21 years.”
