WOMAN RESCUED FROM RIVER IN CHATTANOOGA WEDNESDAY NIGHT

On August 31, 2022, at 8:30 PM Chattanooga emergency personnel were dispatched and responded to the south side of the Walnut Street Bridge for a reported emergency on the water. An injured woman was located and pulled out of the water by first responders. Engine 12 personnel provided assistance with manpower (lifting and loading) and Fireboat 10 was used to transport the patient from the floating pier to Ross’s Landing. The patient was transferred from the boat to the ambulance and then taken to the hospital for further treatment.
