Work will start this Monday (December 4, 2023) on a 13-mile cross-drain replacement project on Pine Orchard Road in Morgan County.

Officials say the work will start at the Raymond Bingham Road intersection on Pine Orchard Road, Deermont Road, and Camp Austin Road. Subcontractors will be changing out a total of 40 cross drains.

This stretch of road will be closed periodically for multiple days. The road crew will allow traffic through once they can.

Motorists should be patient as crews work on this project.

School buses can get through the work area to pick up and drop off students.
