WRECK ON INDUSTRIAL BLVD.; MINOR INJURIES

On Friday last week, Officer Chris Stavros responded to a wreck on Industrial Boulevard and Old Jamestown Highway. Upon arriving, he interviewed the driver of a 2006 Cadillac sedan named Wanda Johnson, 90, who said she was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of old Jamestown Highway and Industrial Boulevard.

She claims she proceeded through the intersection and did not see the 2016 Nissan driven by Sonia Guenther, 81, that was already in the intersection. Johnson struck the right rear side of Guenther’s Nissan, causing damage to the right rear wheel and right rear bumper.

Guenther stated she was in the intersection traveling west when she was struck on the right rear side.

Johnson is suspected to have sustained minor injuries however both drivers refused medical attention.
