WRECK WITH INJURY CAUSES SHUTDOWN OF HIGHWAY 11 AND HIGHWAY 70
From the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office:
LENOIR CITY, TENNESSEE – First responders with the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office, Priority Ambulance Service, Loudon County Fire/Rescue, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol are on the scene of a wreck with injury involving a dump truck on Highway 11 at Highway 70 East.
A dump truck hauling rock struck a traffic light pole, causing it to fall and hit another vehicle. The traffic lights at the intersection of Highway 11 and Highway 70 are currently inoperable. Traffic is being diverted around the scene, and delays are expected to continue into the evening.
Please use caution, expect delays, and consider an alternate route. Slow down and remain alert for emergency personnel and slow-moving traffic.
