1 ADULT AND 3 JUVENILES TAKEN AFTER BLOUNT COUNTY STANDOFF
One adult and three juveniles have been apprehended after a standoff with authorities in Blount County. Reports are that a BOLO was issued for a 17-year-old teen with ties to Blount County who had escaped from a juvenile detention facility around Chattanooga. Following a tip that the boy, possibly armed with multiple weapons, was at an Alnwick Blvd address in Maryville, deputies responded in an attempt to make contact. The home was surrounded, and after negotiating for an hour or so, four people exited the home one by one. Afterward, deputies entering the home found marijuana and methamphetamine packed for resale, a large amount of cash and a gun. 19-year-old Taylor Johnathan Perkins of Blue Forest Court was charged with possession of drugs for resale and contributing to the delinquency of minors. Three male juveniles, ages 17, 16, and 15 were also arrested. They are being held at the Blount County Juvenile Detention Facility pending a hearing in Blount County Juvenile Court.
