120 YEAR OLD LOG HOME TOTAL LOSS FOLLOWING FIRE

Dunlap Fire Department was recently dispatched to a residential fire on Tram Trail near Highway 111.

The home was a log home constructed approximately 120 years ago.

Dunlap Police were the first to arrive and confirmed a working structure fire.

The initial dispatch reported a possible occupant inside the residence.

Upon arrival, firefighters entered the residence and began search operations.

Approximately 30 minutes later firefighters received word that the occupant was not at home.

Firefighters continued an interior attack until the roof began to fail and then an exterior defensive attack was started.

The home was a total loss.

There were no injuries.
