MUCH COLDER COMING

The highest rainfall total from the official gauges that report to the Weather Service for Wednesday and Thursday comes from right here in Cumberland County from the Fairfield Glade area where 4.68 inches was recorded with over 4 in other parts of Cumberland and Anderson counties. 3 1/2 inches fell across Bledsoe, Rhea, Roane, Meigs and Morgan counties. I did get a report from one of our listeners 5.5 inches in Morgan County and I am sure many of you recorded large amounts in your home gauge.

We will have more scattered showers tonight but Skies will be clearing on Friday and much cooler with a high of only 52 degrees. The Halloween weekend will be partly sunny with highs around 58 but then a freeze is coming by Monday morning and Tuesday morning with temperatures dropping to the upper 20s for the plateau. Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour Saturday night before you go to bed and we have a full moon on Halloween night and it will be the Blue Moon because it is the second full moon for the month of October.
