A 15-year-old boy was flown to the hospital after he was shot in the neck by an 18-year-old with an AR-15 yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, October 11, 2017) in Sevierville. Officers say the victim was shot with the rifle by an 18-year-old male inside the home on Nichols Street. Two other men were reportedly inside the house at the time of the shooting. Although the investigation is in its early stages, investigators say it appears the shooting may have been accidental. The victim was transported by Lifestar to the UT Medical Center. Officers said he was alert when leaving the scene.
