On Sunday, March 22, 2026, the Crossville Police Department in Tennessee responded to a report of rape and promptly launched an investigation. Detectives identified 18-year-old Darvin Torres Garcia as the suspect, developed probable cause, and obtained a warrant charging him with rape under TCA 39-13-503. Garcia was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Jail, where he is being held on a $250,000 bond.

As with all criminal cases, Garcia is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law. The charge against him remains an accusation at this stage of the legal process.
