19-YEAR-OLD FOUND INTOXICATED WITH STOLEN VEHICLE IN KINGSTON

On Monday afternoon just before 6 pm, officers with the Kingston Police Department were dispatched to Kentucky Street on a call of a possibly intoxicated female in the parking lot attempting to get into other people’s vehicles. As Captain Roy Montgomery arrived, he observed a female pulling on the doors of different vehicles. When Captain Montgomery made contact with the female, he observed that the female was unsteady on her feet, had slurred speech, and admitted to smoking crack earlier in the day. The female was identified as 19-year-old Bukirah Lynn Trammell, of Knoxville.
An NCIC check revealed a warrant for the arrest of Bukirah Trammell for tampering with evidence out of the state of Missouri with full extradition. Bukirah Trammel had a set of car keys in her purse that went to a 2015 Toyota Camry that was sitting nearby with a flat tire. After checking the VIN and Tennessee license plate, it was revealed the vehicle was reported stolen from Knoxville, TN.
Bukirah Trammell was placed under arrest for public intoxication, theft of the motor vehicle, and fugitive from justice for the warrant out of Missouri. The vehicle that was reported stolen was towed for safekeeping until it is returned to the owner.
