2 RESCUED FROM BURNING BUILDING IN HARRIMAN

Two people were rescued from an abandoned, burning building Wednesday night in Harriman. Fire Chief Brad Daniels said that the alarm went off just before 8 PM from the former Moore’s Body Shop on Emory St. near Riverfront Park. Upon their entry into the structure, crews discovered two homeless persons. They were carried out and then treated by First Responders. According to Chief Daniels, the two were trying to stay warm when allegedly some clothing caught fire. Both refused transport to the hospital and charges could be pending. The fire was swiftly extinguished and the investigation is continuing.
