3.0 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE RECORDED NEAR ALCOA EARLY MONDAY
A 3.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Alcoa area early Monday morning. The quake was recorded at 4 a.m., about half a mile southeast of Alcoa at a depth of 12.7 kilometers. It’s unclear, at the moment, whether there has been any damage or injuries. Several minor quakes have struck portions of East Tennessee in the last few months. 1057 News will have more information as it comes in.
