MORGAN CO., Tenn.- A three-year-old girl is recovering nearly a week and a half after being bitten by a copperhead snake twice on her foot. The Morgan county family said they were walking home from a family member’s home, in recent cut grass, and their daughter was bitten by the snake. They said she was wearing sandals and they didn’t see the snake until it was too late.

The girl was taken to Roane Medical before being transported by ambulance to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital for anti-venom treatment.
