A 4-month old infant suffered third-degree burns after her mother allegedly scalded him in bath water. 24-year-old Chantel Woodson is charged with child abuse. Memphis Police were called to a children’s hospital for the report of a baby being admitted having third-degree burns from his torso down. The child was said to have additional external and internal injuries. Woodson says she put the baby in a sink, turned on the water and then walked away. She then heard the child scream and found that he had been burned. The baby was not brought to the hospital until the next day.
