$4,000 HOT WHEELS COLLECTION AND MORE STOLEN FROM A1 STORAGE

Yesterday, Deputy Shawn Aytes spoke with a man at the Sheriff’s Office lobby regarding a theft from a storage unit. The man reported that he was contacted by a representative from A-1 Storage, informing him that the lock on his unit was missing. Upon arriving at the storage facility and meeting with an employee, he discovered that several items, including a $4,000 Hot Wheels collection and a double-door Whirlpool refrigerator, had been stolen from his unit, with a total estimated loss of $8,500.

He noted that it had been approximately two months since he last checked the unit and that the lock had been removed to gain entry. A list of the missing items was included in the report.

Deputy Aytes visited a location where stolen property had recently been recovered to search for the items listed in the report, but nothing was found or positively identified. No serial numbers for the stolen items were available.
