The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) said in their report released this afternoon there are 4,138 total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state. Officials say as of today (April 7, 2020), 72 died in the state from COVID-19, 408 are hospitalized and 466 recovered. TDH defines “recovered” as people who (1) have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or (2) are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
