4,362 CASES OF COVID 19 IN TENNESSEE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY CONTINUES CLIMB TO 33 CASES, 1 DEAD IN ANDERSON CO. – APRIL 8, 2020

The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) said in their report released this afternoon there are 4,362 total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state. Officials say as of today, 79 died in the state from COVID-19, 449 are hospitalized and 592 recovered. TDH defines “recovered” as people who (1) have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or (2) are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
