The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office says a 5-year-old girl is recovering after being shot yesterday with an arrow to her head. The incident took place near the 1500 block of Highway 58 South when the girl’s brother had a crossbow with an arrow loaded. The boy accidentally pulled the trigger. The girl was transported to Children’s Hospital at Erlanger for surgery. Authorities say the arrow did not penetrate all the way through the girl’s head. The incident is under investigation.
