$60,000 HEIST AT MASTER REPAIR UNDER INVESTIGATION

On April 29, 2025, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary report at Master Repair, located on HWY 127 North in Crossville. The business owner and a local resident reported the theft of multiple zero-turn mowers and tillers, valued over $60,000. The theft occurred around March 15, 2025, but was reported later as the victims gathered evidence.
The primary suspect, a former employee and mechanic, was implicated due to his prior access to the business’s sheds and claims of possessing spare keys. Employees provided statements supporting the suspicion, with one reporting seeing stolen items in the suspect’s garage. Photographic evidence showed stolen property at their residence.
Some stolen items, including a Gravely zero-turn mower, a BCS 749 tiller with attachments, four RedMax weed eaters, and a RedMax blower, were recovered, found at the suspect’s residence and and another address on Deathridge Rd, where the homeowner claimed to have purchased them from the suspect for $3,600 plus $500 for tree-cutting services.
The suspect’s name has been omitted as an arrest or charges have yet to be made, and the case is still under investigation.
