8 EMPLOYEES TERMINATED AFTER ATTEMPT TO BREACH MORGAN COUNTY PRISON SECURITY

Eight employees of an East Tennessee prison have been fired because of an inmate who apparently breached the facility’s perimeter. The entire incident was an attempt by inmate Robert Fusco to introduce contraband into the Morgan County Correctional Complex. That information comes from the Tennessee Dept. of Correction. A spokesperson for the prison stated Friday that the employees had been terminated. No further information was released. Fusco is now incarcerated in the West Tennessee State Penitentiary where he has been flagged as a maximum-custody inmate. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation continues to investigate.
