On Friday, City police were dispatched to Crossville Walgreens in reference to an assault. When they arrived, they spoke with a male who stated that one of the pharmacists had been assaulted.  The witness alleged that around 4:53 PM, 81-year-old William Fulks came in to pick up his prescriptions and he was upset because he had gotten the wrong medicine. The witness stated that Mr. Fulks was becoming more and more irate at the pharmacist and the pharmacist walked away. He claimed that another pharmacist, identified as Jonathon Posey walked by and Mr. Fulks reached across the counter and struck Mr. Posey.

The original pharmacist was not named in the police report. It was noted that Mr. Posey does not wish to press charges at this time. He was advised if they changed their mind they could obtain a criminal summons from the judicial commissioner.

It was also not stated if Mr. Fulks got his corrected medicine.
