The Tennessee Department of Health said in their report released this afternoon there are 8,726 total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state. Officials say as of today (April 24, 2020), 168 died, 808 had to be hospitalized and 4,370 recovered.

The Tennessee Department of Health defines “recovered” as people who (1) have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or (2) are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
