9,667 TOTAL CASES OF COVID 19 IN TENNESSEE, LARGEST TOTAL CASE RISE IN A DAY SINCE OUTBREAK STARTED – APRIL 26, 2020

The Tennessee Department of Health said in their report released this afternoon there are 9,667 total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state. This is the largest total cases in a day (478) in Tennessee since the outbreak started. Officials say as of today (April 26, 2020), 181 died, 828 had to be hospitalized and 4,527 recovered.

The Tennessee Department of Health defines “recovered” as people who (1) have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or (2) are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
