A fugitive from Ohio could be in the Nashville area according to investigators. 41-year-old Justin Smith, a youth soccer coach from Dayton, Ohio, is accused of sex crimes against a teen. The investigation is being conducted in the Nashville-Murfreesboro region, areas that Smith had stayed at between Nov. 1st and 5th. Reports have Smith using alias’s and texts were found by the 14-year-old female’s mother which contained explicit messages.

Smith fled his sexual assault trial after taking the stand in his own defense, investigators said. He also cut his court-ordered GPS ankle bracelet. A jury convicted the fugitive of eight felony counts, however, Smith cannot be sentenced on those convictions unless he is present.
