WAYNE COUNTY, KENTUCKY, WOMAN NABBED ON METH, HEROIN POSSESSION – AND OUTSTANDING WARRANTS

On Thursday, a Wayne County Kentucky sheriff’s deputy noticed someone he needed to interview for an investigation sitting in a vehicle, along with two passengers who had outstanding warrants. While arresting Tonya D. Bell of Monticello, the deputy saw a set of digital scales and other drug paraphernalia in plain view. Several other items were found as well, including methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana.

At the Wayne County Detention Center, a female guard searching Bell located an unknown substance inside a body cavity; Bell was taken to the Wayne County Hospital Emergency Room for an x-ray search.

Emergency room employees later found a plastic baggie containing more than 5 grams of a crystalline substance suspected to be meth under a pillow in the x-ray room.

Bell was charged with first-degree trafficking in meth, first-degree trafficking in heroin, trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree promoting contraband and tampering with physical evidence. Bell was also served two Wayne County District Court Warrants for violation of bond conditions on the underlying charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree promoting contraband, receiving stolen property, second-degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle and second-degree fleeing or evading police on foot.
