Longtime local businessman Bill Oglesby has passed away. Oglesby had been an integral part of the local insurance business in Crossville for many decades. He served as agent, manager and eventual partner in Brown Insurance Group. Bill was retired, along with his wife, longtime City Clerk Sally Oglesby, who served the City for 32 years. They had plans of doing extensive traveling. Bill became ill a few weeks ago with heart blockages. He had been in and out of Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a local rehab center. We learned this evening Bill passed away this afternoon at Vanderbilt, peacefully, with family at his bedside. Services will be announced later.
