NO. 5 TENNESSEE WINS 58-46 AS VANDY LOSES 14TH STRAIGHT
Grant Williams scored 14 points and 11 rebounds in the University of Tennessee’s 58-46 win over Vanderbilt Tuesday night. It was the Vols’ first win since losing their No. 1 ranking in a loss to fourth-ranked Kentucky on Saturday. And it came at the expense of Vandy’s 14th consecutive loss, its longest single-season losing streak in school history. Their previous 14-game skid came at the end of the 1934-35 season and continued into the following season.
Tennessee is now 24-2 on the season, 12-1 in SEC play. The Vols visit #13 LSU on Saturday.
