More of the soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division are returning home after nine-month deployments to Afghanistan.

Two welcome-home ceremonies are slated for this week at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, on the state’s border with Tennessee. Fort Campbell is expecting some 500 soldiers to return.

The first of the two ceremonies was held yesterday, welcoming home soldiers from the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade and 52nd Ordnance Group.

The second, set for Saturday, March 9, will welcome more soldiers from the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade.

The Army says the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade provided aviation support to U.S., coalition and Afghan forces during its deployment.
