Interstate 40 eastbound is backed up from the road construction at mile marker 341 all the way back to mile marker 336. Motorists are advised to take the 329 Crab Orchard exit and get on Highway 70 to avoid delays and backups.

The backup is not expected to dissipate until approximately 6:40 Central Time this evening.
