Few details are being released at this time, but the armed suspect who fled a crash early this morning has been captured. Authorities apprehended the suspect, a white man in his mid 40s, with gray hair, who was believed to be armed with a rifle when he ran from the scene.

The Knoxville Police Department, Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol  are conducting a joint investigation of the single-vehicle accident on I-75 South near Emory Road around 3 a.m.
