HANCOCK ARRESTED FOR CRIMINAL TRESPASSING TWICE IN ONE DAY

Just before 5:30 Tuesday morning, Cumberland County deputies were called to the Budget Inn on U.S. Highway 127 for a report of an unwanted woman on the property. When they arrived, they found 41-year-old Misty Dawn Hancock and a male companion in the parking lot, under an 18-wheeler. When asked if they were residents, the man said he was, but Hancock was not.

The owner of the business said he had banned Hancock from the premises on several occasions.

The deputies told Hancock she needed to leave. When she failed to comply, she was arrested for criminal trespassing and placed under $2,500 bond.

Shortly before 11 p.m., the same deputy was called back to the Budget Inn because Hancock was back, refusing to leave. She was arrested again for criminal trespassing.

This time, in lieu of bond, Hancock was held pending a bond hearing, as she was already out on bond on four other charges between April 11 and April 30, as well as a failure to appear on Monday.
