According to sources, Cumberland County commissioner/ school teacher Michael Speich has apparently shot himself.  We received information earlier today that Speich had shot himself.

Cumberland County Sheriff Casey Cox has confirmed a body was found on Speich’s farm in eastern Cumberland County and an investigation is ongoing.  Sheriff Cox said the body has not been identified as Speich but indicated they believed it to be the commissioner.

Michael Speich, a teacher at Stone Elementary School, and elected County Commissioner for the sixth district was charged with one count of sexual battery by an authority figure and one count of providing alcohol to a minor. The DA said the victim was a minor child at the time of the incident.  Sources have revealed there has been a multitude of other potential victims come forward in the case since Speich’s arrest Monday.
