ANOTHER STATUS HEARING POSTPONED IN “BABY LEVI” CASE

The accused killer of Baby Levi appeared before a judge in Morgan County earlier this week for a status hearing. The hearing for Roger Prince was rescheduled for Sept. 17, 2017. It will be the same date that the child’s mother, Amanda Beaty is set to appear in court for the same case. In fact, several status hearings have been reset for the case. Beaty and Prince both denied hurting the child, but although an autopsy revealed Levi died from loss of blood, there were other injuries noted such as bruising, a splintered spine and other trauma. Prince was released on bond in Dec. 2013, and since 2015, prosecutors have pushed for him to be fitted with a GPS monitor. Defense attorneys have argued that since Prince drives trucks fitted with GPS trackers, there is no need.
