Law enforcement officers in the area, as well as in the state, will crack down on speeding this week. “Operation Southern Shield” focuses on the heavy summer travel period when the rate of fatal and injury crashes is higher than any other time of year. The initiative kicked off this morning and runs through Sunday, July 21, 2019.
