Tennessee’s annual tax-free weekend starts today (Friday, July 26, 2019) and ends Sunday (July 28, 2019) at midnight. Most clothes and school supplies will be exempt from sales tax, as long as each item is less than $100. Computers costing less than $1,500 are also eligible for tax exemption. Qualifying items bought online or from a catalog will also be exempt from tax during the weekend, as long as the items are being shipped to Tennessee.
