A Rockwood man is facing charges following a high-speed pursuit this week. Cumberland County deputies responded to a burglary in progress at a home on Daysville Road. The report states 30-year-old Patrick Angel kicked in the door of the home, took car keys and fled the scene in a 2015 Chevy Cruze that was not his. A trooper came upon Angel on Westel Road and a chase ensued onto I-40 towards Roane County. The pursuit was stopped prior to coming upon a construction area. But Roane County authorities found Angel a short time later after he crashed the vehicle. Cumberland County authorities charged Angel with theft of property and domestic assault. He also faces several charges in Roane County.
